MeatGun MK1 Usage Instructions:

Assembly and Usage Instructions:
  1. Remove the MeatGun Mk1 body, an injector tip, the siphoning hose, and the large siphon needle from the packaging.
  2. Twist the injector tip onto the front of the MeatGun Mk1 body to attach the injector tip. This requires ~1/4 turn to fully attach.
  3. Push the siphon hose onto to siphoning port on the MeatGun Mk1 body. The siphoning port is between the injection reservoir and the injection tip and comes out from the body at a 45 degree angle.
  4. Place the unattached end of the siphoning hose into your well mixed injection mix to begin drawing injection liquid from this separate container. (Optional: for additional siphon weight or length; the large siphon needle can be added to the free end of the siphon hose.)
  5. Begin to pump injection into your meat. You do not need to prime the needle and it should be pushed inside of the meat for self-priming.
  6. Continue to inject any desired meats and re-fill injection mix in its separate container as necessary.

MeatGun Mk1 Cleaning Instructions:

Disassembly and Quick Rinsing Instructions:
  1. After you are finished injecting, move the siphon hose to a container full of clean water. Pump clean water through the MeatGun Mk1 for 5 – 10 pumps.
  2. Take the siphon hose out of the water container and dry pump the MeatGun Mk1 to empty reservoir and siphon contents.
  3. Remove the injector tip from the MeatGun Mk1 body; rinse and place back into protective case.
  4. Disconnect the siphon hose from the large siphon needle and from the MeatGun Mk1 body. Running warm water over the ends of the siphon hose makes this process easier.
  5. Rinse all parts including the MeatGun Mk1 body under warm water. Dry all parts and return to case for future use.
Full Disassembly & Deep Cleaning Instructions:
  1. Follow all steps in ‘Disassembly and Quick Rinsing’ directly above this section.
  2. Remove the steel siphon/injection assembly from the reservoir and handle by twisting the large black collar between the two in a counter-clockwise direction.
  3. Clean the plastic handle body, injection plunger, clear injection reservoir, and the reservoir o-ring. Replace the reservoir and o-ring back into the plastic body and set aside until reassembly.
  4. Remove the siphoning port by rotating it in a counter-clockwise direction; this may require pliers. While removing this port, beware that a small spring and plunger reside inside and utmost care must be taken not to lose the small parts.
  5. Clean the siphoning port, plunger, spring, and o-ring. Replace the plunger and o-ring with included replacements if necessary. Reassemble the siphon port onto to metal injection body.
  6. Remove the metal collar around the injection port by rotating in a counter-clockwise direction.
  7. Remove the injection port from the metal injector body by rotating in a counter-clockwise direction; this may require pliers. While removing the injection port, beware that a small spring and plunger reside inside and utmost care must be taken not to lose the small parts.
  8. Clean the injection port, plunger, spring, and o-ring. Replace the plunger and o-ring with included replacements if necessary. Reassemble the injection port onto to metal injection body. Replace the metal collar around the injection port.
  9. Reassemble the metal and plastic bodies at the black plastic collar by rotating the collar in a clockwise direction until snug.
